… is next to Finca Ipe, a biodynamic farm, in the mountains between San Isidro and the pacific.
When we arrived and asked, where Randy’s piece of land is (he invited us to stay there), we found out, that there is not much to stay on.
The land is really beautiful, but there is no infrastructure.
However, we [...]

…well, we don´t.
It took some time to find the right bus terminal in San José today. Luckily we were very mobile with our Jopos. People call them “bonitas” (¡look it up!) and eventually we got the right terminal.
The next bus was “comfort”, even though the distance between the seats was less than 20 centimeters. But [...]

Hard to believe that we woke up this morning from the rain drumming on the corrugated metal roof of our room in Tortuguero. Now all this is far away. Sixteen hours.
After about 1,5 hours in a little water bus,
struggling upstream through very narrow places to somewhere with a road and several hours in several busses [...]

…is a funny word and the place itself is very interesting.
We spend three nights in the village of Tortuguero.
After the first night we had a tour through the dense vegetation of one of the wettest forests in the world and were lucky with our guide: A canadian biologist who is living here already for almost twelve [...]

What can we do? Amazement doesn’t end.
Our day started in Manzanillo with a refreshing, typical morning rain. We didn’t get cold (since it’s so hot) but a little bit wet.

The street is [...]

here comes a surprise:
We are not in Puerto Viejo. Even though we bought some (really!) last minute bustickets from San Jose to Puerto Viejo. Our Jopos were put under the bus for roughly the same price as a one person ticket. Do I have to mention that this money went directly into the bus drivers [...]

…WE GOT HENNAS BACKPACK! We shouldn’t be too happy, since it should be just too normal to have your luggage after flying.
Anyway… we are happy.
The bag arrived just a few minutes too late for us to make it to the last bus, so we will (happily) stay one more night here and get going tomorrow. [...]

But ¡Today!
Eventually the backopacko did not arrive yesterday, but it came with a flight this noon. So, according to the nice people from American Airlines at San Jose airport, Hennas bag is in this very moment on the way from the airport to here.
Meanwhile we are still waiting, ready to go. We have the bus [...]

… Hennas backpack has been located!
In times of barcodes and computers one should think that “they” just type in the registration number of Hennas backpack and see the location of the backpack popping up on the computer screen (for example “Miami”).
But life is not a pony farm, so the wonders of technology are still quiet [...]
